Thank you for stopping by my blog today! It’s Day 2 of my Blogmas posts and I hope you’re having a good one so far. Today I thought it would be fun to share my favourite things about December.
My Favourite Things About December
Christmas Lights – They bring such a whimsical, beautiful energy whether they’re indoors or outdoors. I absolutely love them. They make me feel very inspired.
Holiday Drinks – Many cafes have special drinks they only serve around the holidays. My personal favourite is the salted caramel mocha. Hot chocolate with marshmallows is also one of my favourite drinks around this time of year. Maybe it’s so special, because I only drink it during the holidays. Apple cider is also such a delicious drink that special around the holidays.
The Cookies – Gingerbread and shortbread cookies are my absolute favourite. I aim to treat myself to some delicious cookies while watching a TV show or two this month.
Opening Gifts With Family – I enjoy spending some time on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with the family opening gifts, chatting, and eating tasty treats together. This year I won’t be with them physically, but we’ll be sharing the holiday festivities over Skype. 🙂
Sending Christmas Cards – I admit I’ve been pretty slack with doing this the past few years, so this year I made a real effort to send off Christmas cards to the family. It’s a really lovely, low cost way to make someone’s day. There’s nothing like receiving a cute holiday card in the mail from a loved one.
August Burns Red Christmas Songs – I’m not a fan of the usual Christmas songs you hear playing at the malls or over the radio, but I do love a beautiful metal Christmas. 😛 August Burns Red plays beautiful songs in the amazing way that they do. My parents have some nice Celtic Christmas songs that I like, as well. It’s not the cheesy stuff you hear sometimes playing in stores or on the radio at this time of year (sorry to anyone who enjoys that, but it’s not my cup of tea).
Boxing Day Sales – Teehee what better thing than to grab a few things you’ve been wanting on sale the day after Christmas?! 🙂
