My reading wish list for January.
I’m going to start book buying again in January and my goal is to stick with around 2 books per month, but I might be able to squeeze 3 in sometimes. My reason for this is I want to be more budget conscious this year and also let myself read at a more leisurely pace.
For the past few years I’ve been reading 3-4 books per month and I’d like to wind it down a bit, at least for the time being.
Here’s my reading wish list for January. My goal is to finish 3 e-books on my Kindle by the end of the month. I’ll be channeling some of the new years energy into some great reads. 🙂
#1. Dead Breath by Melody Jade Allen

This has been on my to-read list for a while and I need to get to it very soon! The cover and premise give it a stylish thriller vibe, which is a type of story I’m always into. I can’t lie. The only reason I’ve put it off is that the price is a little out of the range that I normally buy e-books. My personal opinion is that an e-book shouldn’t cost more than $5 and as a book blogger who makes a hobby out of reading, I do prefer books in the $3.99 or less range. With that being said, a higher price point won’t turn me off from a book – and you’ve got to hand it to the author for asking for a slightly higher price. I will let myself splurge on this story very soon!
#2 Where Darkness Meets Light by Sabrine Elouali

I’ve been coveting this book of poems for quite a while now. I’ve also put it off due to it being a slightly higher price (I might just be a silly person, because I’ve easily spent this amount on 3 books anyway.). It’s time to finally buy myself this lovely book and see what it’s about. I have a feeling I’ll love it.
#3. Fatty Legs by Christy Jordan-Fenton and Margaret Pokiak Fenton

I’ve made a pledge with myself to read more Native Canadian stories and this is one of the books I’ve added to my list which I cannot wait to read. It is a story about a girl who survives a residential school.

So, there we have it! I have 3 great books to keep me entertained for the month of January and I’ll be posting the reviews for them in due time. 🙂 Do you have any books on your wish list? Do tell in the comments below. 🙂
Until tomorrow, I hope you have a great day! ❤
Not a wishlist, but a reading list since I have a backlog of books: On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong, Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell, and a book I literally bought yesterday, Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng.
Very nice. Those sound like really interesting titles!
Looking forward for the book review 🤗
Thank you. 🙂 They’ll be posted soon!
Awesome 😊
