Hey everyone! Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. I’ve decided to share one of my books on here – Marie – the first chapter will be posted tomorrow! 🙂

Marie is a psychological thriller about a young psychopathic woman who undergoes an awakening. I always wondered what it might be like if a psychopath had a moment of guilt and empathy for someone they hurt. I researched this a while ago and found that a few people with Antisocial Personality Disorder (Which is the term mental health professionals use for anyone who is a sociopath or psychopath) have experienced moments where they felt genuine feelings for people and it was strange for them – and often fleeting. I thought it would be interesting to write a book where this happens for someone who has never felt guilt or remorse before. How would that make someone respond when they’ve never felt it before?

I also notice a trend with low empathy people where they think happiness, warmth, empathy, or other positive traits are weaknesses. I tried to write Marie in a way that would feel realistic for someone with her disorder.

I definitely wrote this one for entertainment purposes so if you enjoy stylized thrillers, you should like it. There may be triggering moments in it just to warn you. If you’re not in the best headspace, feel free to skip this one. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. Stay tuned for the first chapter tomorrow! 🙂
