Self-Care Sunday: Having An At Home Spa Moment

You don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars at the spa to feel pampered. You can create your own little spa moment at home.

Light a candle. After cleaning your room, nothing makes you feel more grounded and relaxed than a candle being lit. It also means that it’s time to relax.

Have a hot shower or bath. Bubble baths always feel luxurious, but a steamy shower can also feel like a spa, especially if you use products that make you feel good. The steam from a shower can be very therapeutic.

Buy a face mask. There’s some very affordable face masks you can buy at the drugstore, Sephora, or department stores like Walmart with different formulations to suit your needs. You can put it on while in the shower/bath or lay down with it on while listening to some nice music.

Buy a hair mask. Much like face masks, hair masks help nourish the hair. Depending on your hair’s needs, there’s a mask out there that can help revive damaged/dry/oily strands.

Play soothing music. Spas tend to play soft instrumental music, but the nice thing about being at home is you can play whatever tunes you prefer. Having the right music can help put you at ease.

Buy a body moisturizer that feels and smells amazing. Never underestimate the power of a good moisturizer. It’ll help your skin stay hydrated while the scent can help you feel relaxed.

Floating candles/flowers. Adding spa-like decorations like floating candles/flowers in a bowl can really add to the ambience of your self-care moment.

Aromatherapy body mist/room spray. Spraying your room or yourself with a light, aromatic spray can help you unwind and it’ll smell much like a spa.

Wear something that makes you feel amazing and comfortable. A key thing to feeling relaxed and recharged is wearing something that brings out that inner goddess energy. Whether it’s cashmere loungewear, a pretty dress, or cute cozies, wearing something that makes you feel amazing will help enhance your spa moment.

Have an amazing day. X
