My Simple Living Goals For August

As you might recall, I’ve been talking about simple living on my blog this year. I mastered a great routine in my micro condo in the city, but since relocating to a shared home (To save money and experience living closer to the mountains) I’ve been focusing on building a new routine that works for the change in lifestyle. My new job is going splendidly and being close to nature is great for anyone who wants to adopt a simple/slow living routine.

While I’ve been quite productive at work and on this blog, I want to balance that out with relaxation and mindfulness of the beauty all around me.

Here’s how I plan to maintain a simple routine for the rest of August:

* Go on lone sunset walks

* Wake up at dawn and stretch and enjoy the sunrise

* Get a gym membership to switch up my fitness routine

* Continue cooking at home/packing a lunch for work to keep spending down

* Treat myself to a face mask at least once per week

* Go on a nature walk on my days off

* Solo cafe dates!

* Only say ‘yes’ to things I want to do.

* Make myself a tea in the morning (I’m wanting to cut back on coffee)

* Prepare overnight oats for my breakfast

Of course, everyone’s got their own idea of what a good routine is. This is mine. I hope you feel some inspiration to inject a little more simplicity in your own life. I find summer is a lovely time to enjoy the simpler things as we’re spoiled with longer days, warm weather, flowers, lighter clothes, etc.

I hope you enjoyed reading my blog today. Until next time, take care. πŸ™‚

    • Thank you! πŸ™‚ Yes, I’ve definitely achieved some. With a little over a week left, I plan to finish the rest – except for the gym membership one! I’ve been working out at home and that’s been going really well so September will be the gym month – this month was tighter than I expected which is OK. As long as you reach 80% of your goals, that’s decent enough right? haha. Hope you have a lovely rest of your August, too. πŸ™‚
