I often talk about why I started blogging. I originally got WordPress to connect with other authors and readers then promote my books. Since then I’ve published a lot of stories and my desire to blog is still as strong as ever. I’d like to talk about why I still blog now. π
Here are my main reasons for keeping up with blogging:
*It’s another form of writing. While it’s not as creative as storytelling, it’s a lovely way to channel that desire to write and share helpful tidbits about life.
*I have a lot to say. I’m a thinker and enjoy expressing my ideas with others. I tend to compose my thoughts better through writing, though with the right people (Usually in a one-on-one settings) I can certainly express myself well enough. Blogging is a great way to share what has been on my mind – and I’ve always been a growth-minded person so this feels like the ideal medium for it. Blogging allows you to reach a wider audience.
*The blogosphere is a great way to connect with like-minded people. I enjoy reading what other people share and I’ve honestly learned quite a lot from other bloggers here. We all have things we can share or help others with. WordPress can be a really great space for this.
*I can promote my books. While I don’t blog about my books often, it’s great having a self-hosted blog that doubles as a website so people can check out my books tab. It’s also a great space to share snippets from your stories and if people are interested, they can purchase one to read more.
*It makes me happy. Life is about doing things that make you feel good and meaningful. Blogging definitely does that for me. I love having something to create, organize, and manage. This blog certainly checks off many boxes on my happiness list.
Why do you blog? I’d love to know. π
My main reason? It’s my own online magazine that always publishes, stet, anything I have to say. π
That’s the best reason. ππ I love that!
I’m Acquisitions Editor, Editor in Chief, and the source of most of the content. π
Exactly. ππ
I just like to entertain.
Nice. π
I get to learn a lot of things across the spheres of the life, by writing and reading.
That’s a very good reason. π I love how you word it. WordPress is a lovely place to share, read, and learn.
I completely agree with you for these reasons! Blogging lifts my spirits so much – and I love meeting people with similar interests. Thanks for sharing! π
Thanks so much for reading. β€οΈβ€οΈ

I started blogging because I was just curious and wanted to share my poems but now it’s a lot more. Just like you said, blogging makes me happy too. It gives a sense of accomplishment.
So much this! I’m glad you like blogging. π
Nice blog Sara. All the reasons you listed here are as similar to mine and why I admire blogging. Have a great day π₯π
Glad to hear that you enjoy blogging for the same reasons!
Hi Sara, I am also blogging to organize my thoughts and think more accurately. Actually, I’m writing to myself. They are reading to those who are lucky.
Currently, my blog is Turkish, which is the native language. I hope to start writing in English soon.
That’s pretty cool! I wish you the best with it. π
Such a good question here Sara. I genuinely blog because I am passionate about writing especially documenting my fashion and style blogs and gallery because I love dressing well thus I share my content on the web to help other men to dress well because when you dress well you dress for success! ππ
That’s awesome. And your blog is really cool!
Thank you I am super glad that one blogger sees the effort of my writing! I appreciate your commentππ
I blog because it give me an opportunity to share knowledge. I am a techprenuer and I believe that through knowledge sharing, you are able to undestand concepts deeply and even make them easy for others to understand. I am not stopping the habit any time soon.
That’s awesome! I love how you put it – knowledge sharing can be so helpful.
Hi Sara- I started a blog because I also feel like I have a lot to say- I have such a vast inner world and writing has always helped me organize my thoughts and express myself. All of the reasons you cited are meaningful ones π
